EcoFilm Night: Fierce Green Fire

Please join us on Wednesday, January 23
at the Arcata Playhouse for a

Movie Night and Mixer!

We are pleased to announce that Dan Ehresman has officially stepped into the role as the NEC’s Executive Director, and we will be celebrating! Eat, drink and be merry with NEC board, staff, member group representatives, and supporters. Discuss current issues, and listen to acoustic music from some of our finest local songwriters, including Josephine Johnson, Sam Whitlach, Jan Bramlett, Mo Hollis, and our own EcoNews editor Morgan Corviday, from 5:30-7:30pm. This portion of the evening is FREE and open to the public!

Following the mixer, we are hosting the Humboldt County premiere of A Fierce Green Fire—a full motion picture feature about the history of grassroots and global activism spanning fifty years. From conservation to climate change, the film tells vivid stories about people fighting—and succeeding—against enormous odds. The film starts at 7:30pm. $5-$10/sliding scale.

Mark your calendars now!
We hope to see you there!
